Online casinos are enjoying increasing popularity, despite a nationwide U.S. law that still prohibits their legalization. A transgression of these laws could take the lead now that individual U.S. states have adopted their own laws to make the legal framework for online betting possible.

Regulations that are adopted within state borders would allow gambling in online casinos to legally exist. New Jersey and California, the pioneering countries in the competition for the legalization of online casinos, recently reaffirmed their intention to adopt the appropriate legislation this year.

In addition to the legalization of casino gambling such as poker, bingo, roulette and blackjack to open the proposed draft legislation the U.S. states, there would also be also the ability to simultaneously adopt a statutory basis for the taxation of online betting.

However, some members of the online gambling community are suspicious, as the uncertain impact on the entire industry seems too great.  The actual development of the industry remains to be seen, but industry professionals are hopeful. The vast number of states that is spearheading the movement towards legalized online gambling is hoped to encourage the country at large to pass a federal law. The advantages far outweigh the drawbacks, and online casino players have their fingers crosses that something will soon be to legalize the activity.
