His decision to move to the MLS league has football fans scratching their heads. Henry is arguably one of the best football players in the world, and choosing to leave the top-level European football league to play for a fledgling American league seems like a step backwards to many of Henry’s supporters.

Other athlete’s, however, stand behind his decision. According to Vancouver Whitecaps owner Steve Nash, applauds him.

“He’s still capable of playing at the highest level of this game, and it’s amazing that he’s willing to come over here at this stage of his career, to be honest”.

Henry’s move is likely to make the sportsbetting environment for North American football industry far more exciting. The Red Bulls upcoming game with Toronto FC is seeing a great deal of action at online sportsbetting sites like BoDog. Despite Toronto’s excellent track record this year, the odds of a Red Bull victory is +200, as oddsmakers believe that Henry’s presence will boost the entire team’s performance – especially after the Red Bulls win over Toronto last week.
