Sega was once a popular video gaming company but with the new and updated gaming systems such as PlayStation and Xbox, they have been out of circulation for awhile.

Recently, Sega Corporation has been licensed to operate online casinos and is in the process of adding a number of online casino games to their casinos. The software will come from Playtech, one of the most successful software providers in the industry. Sega’s venture into online casinos is highly anticipated because of their expert technology and experience in the industry. Playtech is excited about the venture and Sega cannot wait to be at the top of gaming lists one again.

Players can look forward to seeing Sega’s classic games turned into slot machines and other types of games. But they won’t be stopping at these games. Sega also plans to offer card table games such as roulette, poker and blackjack.

Both Playtech and Sega are hoping that Sega’s reputation in the gaming field will draw players to their site. A Playtech spokesperson even stated that they are simply giving Sega the tools to compete in today’s gaming market, but that Sega already has the reputation and skill to succeed.

Whether or not Sega can survive in the online gambling industry remains to be seen, but they do have several positive features on their side.
