New Hampshire GamblingAs New Hampshire gets ready to offer online gambling services through the state lottery, other states are wondering if their own laws may make room for gambling legislation as well.

Despite protests from some legislators, the state is moving forward with the new laws and is expecting to have the site up and running very shortly. The only purpose that the complaints served were to push back the launch date.

New Hampshire`s lottery began to lose money and the state`s answer to the problem was to offer online gambling options to players. The expected revenue will help fund various state projects and legislators want New Hampshire`s citizens to know that they plan to put every dollar gained from online gambling back into the state`s economy.

Online gambling in New Hampshire will not violate the UIGEA because it will require players to visit a payment center to deposit money into an account. The federal government has not yet commented on New Hampshire`s plans specifically but maintain that online gambling is illegal in the entire US.

Experts say that the federal government will likely let New Hampshire go ahead with their plans because it only affects that state and does not allow for out of state online gambling.
