Nevada Prepares for Online Gambling

Las Vegas is getting ready to add online casinos to their offerings to players. Operators are quickly preparing for a head start on the online gambling industry for when it becomes legal to gamble online at a federal level.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board is believed to be reviewing the rules that will manage land-based casino operators so that once online gambling is regulated by the government, land-based operators will be able to obtain licenses to operate online as well. Land-based casinos are already taking a hit as people would rather gamble from home than actually go to a casino and the Las Vegas industry is hoping to develop their online casinos quickly.

Once online gambling is made legal in the US and becomes regulated, online casino operators will be jumping headfirst into the US gambling market. Land-based casinos wanting to dip into the online market will have to ensure that they know all of the rules beforehand, as there are differences between the two types of gambling.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board wants to make sure that all operators follow the same rules and regulations for the safety of casino operators, their staff and their patrons. Nevada has strict laws regarding advertising for land-based casinos but the laws concerning advertising for online gambling are not clear. The Nevada Gaming Control Board, along with government legislators, will develop rules and guidelines that online casino operators must follow to stay in good standing.
