eCOGRA testing hits Italian and Spanish Markets

eCOGRA is now the official testing agency for both land and online casino and gambling operators in Spain and Italy. The Italian and Spanish regulators from land and online casinos have given their approval for eCOGRA to test the standards of their gaming options, in order to protect players and maintain only responsible gambling availability.
eCOGRA issues certificates to the gaming providers that to meet their high standards of gaming practice. Established in 2003, eCOGRA has been responsible for the testing and reviewing of various casino and gambling companies across the globe. They are considered to be the highest authority in approving gaming companies, as their high standards and commitment to perfecting the player experience are not easy to meet.
eCOGRA’s strict regulations are seemingly permeating Europe, meaning their rigid standards of gaming are spreading thick and fast. In this way, sub-standard casinos and betting options will hopefully become a thing of the past. Both Italian and Spanish regulators have deemed it necessary to use a professional testing agency in a bid to improve the licensing processes. All gaming companies must pass eCOGRA’s rigid testing process before they are licensed to operate.
Andrew Beveridge, CEO of eCOGRA is no doubt pleased with the Spanish regulators decision to use eCOGRA as their governing body. The more Spanish gambling outlets which are given the eCOGRA certificate of authentication, the more will become licensed places to play, which is sure to boost the Spanish gaming economy, all the while protecting gamers from sub-standard gambling practices.
If all countries within the EU were to use eCOGRA to regulate their gambling practices, it would make it easier for eCOGRA itself to create standardised requirements for all gambling options in every jurisdiction. Thus eCOGRA is keen to impress their Italian and Spanish clients, to encourage more European companies to follow suit.
If you game within Italy or Spain, no doubt an eCOGRA certificate offers peace of mind. All licensed gaming companies within the jurisdiction will have been eCOGRA tested: safe, fair and secure gaming is undoubtedly the only way to play, so here’s hoping that more and more justifications follow suit and that eCOGRA’s regulations become a standard across Europe, if not the world.
