eCOGRA Continues to Advocate for Players

When multiple players and online casino affiliates began complaining about not receiving payment from a relatively new online casino, eCOGRA stepped in to investigate. The company acronym stands for e-Commerce Online Gambling Regulation and Assurance and is dedicated to player satisfaction. Basically, eCOGRA will investigate new online casinos, or those which have been flagged for any reason.

Online casino players know to look for eCOGRA’s stamp of approval before signing up to a casino. The stamp is located on the casino’s lobby, at the bottom of the screen. Players who see the eCOGRA logo know that it is a reputable casino and is safe to play at.

Sometimes, however, players get themselves into trouble when they choose to play at a casino that is not marked with eCOGRA’s logo. In this case, players were not receiving their payouts and looked to eCOGRA to make things right. At first, the casino operators cooperated fully in the investigation but when it appeared they weren’t being truthful, they stopped cooperating.

In this case, eCOGRA was unable to proceed with their investigation and therefore unable to give their approval. They are not qualified to force operators to cooperate with them but for players, seeing an online casino without eCOGRA’s logo is a big red flag and a definite deterrent.
